Second Shift Caregiver

Job Summary
Caregiver provides personal care and incidental Activities of Daily Living to RCAC, CBRF, and/or Memory Care residents, following the Resident Care Plan. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, toileting, nutritional needs, meals, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe environment; 1:1 transfers; assistance with medical administration and reporting; completing delegated tasks; supporting activities for residents; observing and reporting resident conditions; accurate documentation; maintaining HIPAA compliance; scheduling around holidays/weekends; participating in mandatory meetings and trainings; and ensuring safety and quality of care in accordance with DHS 83/89 and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School education preferred not required
- Twelve months of experience as a personal aide, Caregiver or equivalent life experience
- Completion of CBRF and CNA certifications (preferred)
- Reliability and Flexibility in Scheduling; excellent attendance; ability to work holidays and weekends
- Ability to demonstrate patience, understanding, tolerance and emotional/physical ability to meet daily needs of residents
- Govern ment Compliance: knowledge of DHS 83 and 89; ensure compliance with fair housing standards; OSHA and Workers Compensation requirements
- Resident Satisfaction: provide high-quality resident relations; handle complaints and alert Nurse Manager of issues
- Quality, Safety and Physical Condition: administer care meeting safety and health standards; enforce safety and health issues and appropriate food standards
- Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily
