Job Summary
Assemble, inspect, and package medical device products by performing basic assembly processes including cutting, bonding, wrapping, and cleaning. Operate custom machinery such as semi-auto bonding machines and packaging equipment while conducting quality self-inspection on all assemblies. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and approved process sheets, immediately reporting any deviations to the supervisor. Complete required training to comply with Laborie's quality system policies and procedures. Shift runs Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 1am. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a cleanroom environment with exposure to chemicals like cyclohexanone and methylene chloride.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED or relevant experience
- Must be able to speak English, and read work instructions written in English
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials during the workday
- Ability to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques
- Must be able to work at cleanroom table heights ranging from 30"-40" in a sitting or standing position based upon the workstation
- Must be able to work in close proximity (1-2 feet apart) to other employees
- Ability to work with and around Cyclohexanone, methylene chloride and like chemicals on a daily basis with proper personal protective equipment in place
- Must be able to operate various types of custom machinery, such as: semi-auto bonding machines, packaging equipment, etc.
- Must be able to conduct quality self-inspection of all assemblies processed
- Must be able to show constant attention to detail, and immediately inform supervisor of anything out of the ordinary, or anything which does not conform to the approved process sheets
- Must be able to follow and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Must be able to follow approved process sheets or authorized deviations (TVAs), for all stages of product processing
- Must be able to complete training and understand documentation needed to comply with Laborie's quality system policies and procedures
