Second Operator

Operator Apprentice / Printing Operator supports daily press operations by assisting the press operator in achieving quality, safety, and production standards. This role focuses on developing technical printing skills while contributing to press setup, color control, defect detection, and machine operation. A typical day includes reading job jackets, assisting with press setup, maintaining housekeeping standards, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety, SQF, and operational procedures. Read and interpret job jackets to ensure accurate production execution; load materials including skids and ink; assist with plate hanging and blanket changes; record production data in shop floor systems; participate in safety programs and promote a safe working environment. Follow all safety policies and procedures; participate in safety initiatives; comply with SQF and workplace policies.
