Job Summary
Second Grade Teacher at Mountain View School with responsibility for planning and delivering instruction to students in grades K-4, implementing WV College and Career Readiness Standards, applying adopted academic programs and technology skills, and collaborating on team teaching. Must hold a valid teaching certificate and a bachelor's degree; position requires accountability for individual student achievement, and may include supervising or supporting co-curricular activities as directed by the principal. Strong communication with students, parents/guardians, and peers is expected; 200 scheduled instructional days annually with an exempt status and competitive benefits. Requires ability to implement programs designated for school improvement and to work within Monroe County Schools' policy framework.
Required Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specializations and grade levels, pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-2
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Criminal background check and drug screening conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate
