Job Summary
Plan and implement daily lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum, adapting teaching methods to address diverse student learning styles. Conduct continuous assessment of student achievement by analyzing test results and prescribing specific actions for improvement. Maintain an orderly and safe learning environment through appropriate student supervision while facilitating oral and written communication with parents and peers. Utilize current technology and knowledge of child development to maximize instructional effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution
- Certified by the State of Florida in the appropriate area
- Knowledge of child development
- Knowledge of characteristics of children in the age group assigned
- Knowledge of the prescribed curriculum
- Knowledge of current educational research
- Basic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology
- Knowledge of learning styles
- Skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles
- Skill in oral and written communication with students, parents, and others
- Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness
- Ability to effectively assess levels of student achievement
- Ability to analyze test results
- Ability to prescribe actions for improvement
- Ability to maintain appropriate student supervision
- Ability to work effectively with peers, administrators and others
