Job Summary
POSITION PURPOSE: Teach Second Grade students at Pritchardville Elementary in Beaufort County School District. Plan and conduct structured lessons and activities aligned to curriculum guidelines; prepare, administer, and evaluate tests and assignments; guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic needs; collaborate with staff to provide comprehensive services to students and families; ensure clear communication with parents and adherence to district policies. Responsible for creating a positive, developmentally appropriate classroom environment, selecting instructional materials, modeling positive behavior, and maintaining confidentiality and professional standards. Requires regular attendance and professional engagement with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid South Carolina teaching certificate or be able to obtain one within 60 days from being hired.
- Must be Highly Qualified in the content area or be able to become Highly Qualified within 60 days from being hired.
- Must have completed a program of study in education from an accredited college or university.
