Second Engineer

Supervise and operate the Engineering Department efficiently, ensuring maintenance, ballasting, oil handling, and hull equipment comply with Transport Canada Regulations. Manage junior engineers and unlicensed personnel while overseeing training and utilizing the Safety Representative for instruction. Maintain cleanliness and operational integrity of machinery spaces, including main propulsion systems, piping, purifiers, steering gear, and cargo hatch controls. This role requires a fully certified Second Engineer with five years of experience on Great Lakes bulk carriers, eligible to work in Canada. The position offers a FIFO 6-week swing across Canada with competitive remuneration and overtime pay.
