Job Summary
Prepare and store food in a safe and sanitary manner while supervising plating presentation to ensure correct quantities and aesthetic appeal. Keep all kitchen stations, serving utensils, walk-in coolers, and freezers clean and organized. Monitor temperatures daily when the Lead Cook is unavailable and assist in receiving weekly food orders, ensuring delivery accuracy and maintaining inventory labels. Schedule and supervise the team, order necessary items, and cover Lead Cook duties as assigned. Bilingual in English and Spanish with a Food Handler Certificate required; part-time weekend schedule available.
Required Qualifications

- Openness to Active learning and instruction
- Knowledge of materials and methods used in preparation of food on a large scale
- Knowledge of the use and care of kitchen utensils and equipment
- Knowledge of food values and nutrition
- Ability to cook in large amounts
- Ability to work with and supervise other kitchen staff
- Use good judgement and apply cleanliness skills at all times
- Three to Five years' experience in quantity cooking
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Safety food handling knowledge
- Food Handler Certificate
- Must be able to work part time with a dynamic working schedule, mainly on weekends
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
