Job Summary
Second Cook (Part-Time) at Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa. Responsibilities include preparing, cooking and serving all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards; maintaining cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment; knowledge of all menu items, features and promotions; following kitchen policies, safety and sanitation policies; assisting in various kitchen duties; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities; previous culinary experience required; Journeyman’s papers or international equivalent are assets; diploma/certification in culinary discipline is an asset; physical requirements include standing/walking and lifting up to 30 lbs.
