Job Summary
Second Cook at Fairmont Hotel Macdonald is responsible for preparing food to the highest standards of quality and presentation within the kitchen station under the guidance of the Chef de Partie/Sous Chef. The role follows standardized recipes and specifications to maintain consistency, keeps the station clean and organized, and ensures opening/closing procedures are carried out to standard. Physical duties include constant standing and walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and climbing ladders. Requires minimum 2 years of cooking experience, a Valid Food Handler Certificate, a recognized Culinary School certificate or diploma, and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
