Job Summary
SEC & External Regulatory Reporting Controller leading a global team (≈30) within CCB Finance & Business Management to drive SEC and regulatory reporting across Consumer businesses, with oversight of Legal Entity reporting and CECL activities. Partners with firmwide report owners and interacts with Financial Reporting Operations, External Reporting Controllers, and Line of Business Controllers to ensure validation, data flows, and documentation meet risk and control requirements; supports auditors and regulators and contributes to end-to-end automation of regulatory processes. Based in Columbus, OH, with emphasis on leadership, communication, and analytical skills to manage complex regulatory reporting initiatives and provide SME guidance on external reporting.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA and/or MBA in business or financial related field
- 10+ years prior experience in the Financial Industry or with SEC/Regulatory financial reporting
- Strong leadership, management experience and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives or projects
- Strong analytical, problem solving, trouble-shooting and creative thinking skills
- Strong judgement, professional maturity, proactive, has the confidence to challenge the status quo and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously
- Aptitude for learning enhanced technologies and experience with SQL, Databricks, Tableau or similar data mining tools preferred
