Job Summary
Head of SEC & Compliance Reporting responsible for leading the prep, review, and filing of external financial reports and disclosures (SEC filings and ESG disclosures) with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Manages the process for Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K under US GAAP, supports IFRS reporting, oversees quarterly earnings reporting with Investor Relations and FP&A, drafts financial statements and MD&A, coordinates the external audit process, and aligns statutory reporting for foreign entities. Leads capital-market disclosures (bond offerings), collaborates on sustainability/ESG reporting under frameworks like GRI, ISSB, SASB, and TCFD, monitors regulatory developments (SEC, CSRD) and communicates strategic implications to senior management. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, partners cross-functionally with Legal, Investor Relations, and Operations, and leads/mentors a team to meet deadlines while delivering high-quality disclosures. Requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA license, and 8-10 years in corporate external reporting; Big Four experience is highly desired. Prefer expertise in SEC rules, GAAP/IFRS familiarity, strong communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting and external reporting, with a strong focus on SEC filings
