Job Summary
Prepare certification documentation including plans, reports, and templates for interior airplane components, ensuring conformity with FAA and regulatory standards. Coordinate internal and external activities with DERs, OEMs, and regulatory agencies to meet certification requirements for new designs, repairs, and modifications. Conduct reviews of complex analyses, drawings, and tests to validate compliance, while researching regulations and developing critical data for customer proposals. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance certification efficiency and airworthiness demonstrations, integrating cross-functional expertise to solve design challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company's immigration sponsorship now or in the future

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
- An Advanced Degree in a related field
- A Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil engineering is required per FAA agreement
- Up to 10% travel, based on business needs
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to work with various organizations/product lanes internally and support the team to success
- Familiarity with various tasks involved in certification and testing of airplane interior components
- Three or more years of Engineering and/or Certification/Test experience
- Prior experience in certification by test and certification by analysis
- Ability to identify and understand failure modes of systems
- Prior experience reviewing and approving drawings
- Working knowledge of PMA/TSO/STC/OEM qualification and certification
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and productively with team members and cross functional teams
