Seat Complete Engineer

Job Summary
Design and integrate complete seat systems, including structures, mechanisms, foam, and trim components from concept through production. Manage product lifecycle activities such as BOM creation, engineering changes, and design releases while ensuring proper integration within the vehicle architecture. Lead root cause analysis for design and manufacturing issues, drive cost reduction and weight optimization initiatives, and ensure compliance with FMVSS, ECE, and other safety regulations. Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to develop DVPRs, prototype builds, and production launches. Communicate program status, risks, and technical updates to leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field (ABET-accredited)
- 5+ years of automotive engineering experience, preferably in seating or interior systems
- Strong knowledge of seat integration, vehicle packaging, and component design
- Experience with FMVSS, ECE, DFMEA, and structured problem-solving methods
- Proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter (or similar CAD/PLM tools)
