Job Summary
Diagnose failures in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and food service equipment to identify repair or replacement needs without callbacks. Perform maintenance, service repairs, and installations on units exceeding 15 tons, while managing preventative maintenance schedules for contracts with multiple units. Troubleshoot mini-splits and replace smaller RTUs for systems up to 15 tons, ensuring all work aligns with specific specifications. Communicate with dispatch to track job completion and provide elite customer service by explaining resolutions clearly. Maintain larger PM contracts and replace defective parts in units and their controls. Requires active EPA Certification, 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, and OSHA 10 Certification. Available for flexible hours and on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License w/acceptable driving record
- Active EPA Certification
- 5+ years' experience in a commercial HVAC setting
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence
- Ability to effectively communicate with the customer by checking in and out with them on jobs
- Ability to explain the problems and resolution in a manner that the customer can understand
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
