Job Summary
Seasoned Commercial Electrical Technician responsible for performing intermediate-to-advanced electrical tasks with minimal supervision in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems (panels, circuits, switches, outlets, lighting) in accordance with NEC and local codes; read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams; perform preventive maintenance and diagnostic testing; work with journeymen or foreman; ensure safety procedures and PPE compliance; identify material needs, pull wire, bend conduit, and make terminations; provide mentorship to Electrical Technician I; maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3–5 years of hands-on electrical installation, service, or maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
- Proficiency in reading electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Skilled in using electrical tools and testing equipment such as multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters, and conduit benders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative on job sites
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred, or willing to obtain once hired
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must pass background check and drug screening
