Seasoned Commercial Chiller Technician

Job Summary
Conduct routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC systems including air-cooled and centrifugal chillers, pumps, and cooling towers. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic defects while interpreting blueprints and technical manuals to ensure system efficiency and compliance. Assist in installing, retrofitting, and commissioning chiller systems, preparing detailed service reports and providing technical guidance to clients. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through direct on-site interaction. Requires active EPA certification, OSHA 10 certification, and 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC settings. Flexible hours and on-call shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Active EPA Certification
- Valid Driver License w/acceptable driving record
- 5+ years' experience in a commercial HVAC setting with Chillers
- OSHA 10 certification
- Technical training in HVAC or Refrigeration
- Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write correspondence
- Ability to effectively communicate with the customer by checking in and out with them on jobs
- Ability to explain the problems and resolution in a manner that the customer can understand
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal numbers
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Mental stamina for problem-solving and prioritizing multiple tasks
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
