Job Summary
Conduct yard safety protocols for customers and staff while loading and unloading trucks manually and with a forklift. Maintain the yard in a neat and organized fashion. Handle heavy merchandise and work outside in all weather conditions. Operate within variable hours of 40 to 48 weeks, covering Monday through Saturday shifts from 7am to 5pm and 8am to 1pm. Ensure accurate paperwork handling and demonstrate customer service orientation with minimal supervision in a team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Grade XII or equivalent
- Ability to safely operate a forklift in and around tight spaces
- A commitment to workplace safety for fellow employees and customers
- Ability to handle heavy merchandise
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work variable hours to cover hours of operation
- Hours and Shift may vary 40 to 48 hours per week
- Trustworthy with the ability to handle paperwork accurately
- Customer service oriented
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
