Job Summary
Seasonal technical support role providing customer service related to the district’s technology. Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining computers at district locations; providing installation and support for computer workstations and application software; performing upgrades, repairs and maintenance on computers and other electronic equipment; maintaining inventory and work order records; assisting with coordination of customer needs and network infrastructure, including LAN and WAN installation, implementation and maintenance; may involve travel between district buildings and classrooms and ability to drive a personal vehicle.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to relate successfully with students, staff, and other school patrons
- Ability to work independently
- Strong working knowledge of computer operating systems
- Ability to perform diagnostic examinations and repair of microcomputers
- Ability to plan and implement scheduled preventive maintenance
- Experience with LAN systems required
- Knowledge of telecommunications systems
