Job Summary
Support Workday Payroll and Benefits functionality by analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex system issues impacting time tracking, absence, and related business processes. Perform root cause analysis to implement sustainable solutions that improve system performance and reduce recurring problems. Design and maintain reports, dashboards, and standard operating procedures while supporting annual Open Enrollment, year-end payroll activities, and benefit plan changes. Partner with the HRIS Manager to execute enhancement projects from business requirements through post-production validation, maintaining the issue tracker and prioritizing system improvements. Serve as the primary backup for HRIS administration tasks including security role maintenance, user provisioning, and configuration documentation. This seasonal 3-month position offers potential transition to full-time based on performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five or more years of experience supporting the Workday Platform
- Demonstrated experience analyzing business processes and solving complex system issues
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams
- Experience supporting Workday Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, or Absence
- Experience configuring Workday business processes, security, and reporting
- Experience supporting HRIS implementations, enhancements, or optimization initiatives
- Familiarity with Workday integrations, EIBs, and third-party vendor interfaces
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience partnering with Payroll, Benefits, HR, and external vendors in a cross-functional environment
- While not required, we strongly prefer candidates who are able to work on-site and be actively involved with the team in person
