Job Summary
Act as a liaison to the public, handle all inquiries, and manage wildlife intake processes. Perform all aspects of wild animal intake, deliver incoming wildlife to the hospital, prepare accurate intake paperwork per PHS/SPCA policies, support supervisors and other departments, and assist with occasional animal releases. Requires strong customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a California driver’s license with a clean record, willingness to work weekends/holidays, background check clearance, and the ability to engage with a diverse public while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months to 1 year of customer service/receptionist experience and/or training
- Experience in office work with administrative skills such as record keeping and typing
- Possess a valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team environment and have a professional demeanor
- Ability to work on weekends and/or holidays as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
