Job Summary
Deliver safe, high-quality immunization services to patients across all age groups by preparing and administering routine seasonal, pediatric, and adult vaccines. Administer injections to children using age-appropriate techniques and complete training to deliver Long-Acting Injectable medications as clinical demand requires. Review medical histories, screen for contraindications, obtain informed consent, and educate patients on vaccine benefits and post-care instructions. Maintain strict adherence to infection control, aseptic technique, and cold-chain management while ensuring proper disposal of biohazardous materials. Assist with electronic record entry, state registry reporting to the Wisconsin Immunization Registry, and medical billing during lower-volume clinic hours. Requires an active, unencumbered RN license in Wisconsin and current BLS/CPR certification. Seasonal temporary role with Full-Time and Part-Time options available.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Wisconsin
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
- Direct experience administering intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SubQ) injections
- Comfortable learning and using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and basic administrative/billing software
- Warm, empathetic patient-facing communication
- Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
- Adaptability to shift between clinical care and administrative duties depending on daily patient volume
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with pediatric immunizations
- Prior experience using the Wisconsin Immunization Registry (WIR)
- Background working in a high-volume outpatient, pharmacy, or public health clinic environment
