Job Summary
Hands-on Seasonal Maintenance Technician responsible for day-to-day maintenance of student housing communities, including service requests, unit turns, inspections, grounds upkeep, and safety compliance. Duties include completing routine service requests within 24 hours, supporting move-in readiness, maintaining cleanliness, communicating issues to supervisors, operating the maintenance shop per policy, logging and reporting, assisting with quarterly inspections and HVAC-related tasks, and participating in after-hours on-call rotations. Must be able to use basic maintenance tools, climb ladders, work outdoors, and follow safety procedures; requires strong teamwork, time management, and customer-facing skills. Certification in HVAC as required by local regulations and a valid driver’s license are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- HVAC certification as required by local regulations
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift or carry heavy loads
- 1–3 months of related maintenance experience or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Availability for weekends, overtime, and on-call rotations as required
