Job Summary
Temporary Seasonal Maintenance Technician at University Partners supports day-to-day maintenance of the student housing community, handling service requests, unit turns, inspections, and grounds upkeep. Responsibilities include completing routine service requests within 24 hours, maintaining cleanliness and condition of the community, assisting with unit turns and move-in readiness, communicating issues to the Maintenance Supervisor, participating in daily/weekly work-order reviews, performing safety and routine inspections, maintaining maintenance shop and inventory, and providing weekend/on-call coverage. Qualifications include hands-on maintenance knowledge across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, basic construction, strong communication, ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to work both independently and in a team. The role may require physical activity, climbing ladders, lifting, and working in varied environments, with OSHA/EPA/MSDS logging as directed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- HVAC certification as required by local regulations
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Availability for weekends, overtime, and on-call rotations as required
- 1–3 months of related maintenance experience or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
