Job Summary
Seasonal TURN Help Maintenance Technician needed for University Partners’ student housing. The role supports day-to-day maintenance operations including service requests, unit turns/preparations for move-in, inspections, grounds upkeep, and safety/compliance tasks. Responsibilities include completing work orders, communicating issues to the Maintenance Supervisor/Community Manager, assisting with on-call coverage, and maintaining both the maintenance shop and inventory. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, HVAC certification as required locally, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift heavy loads and climb ladders, and strong customer service and teamwork skills. The position is temporary/seasonal and requires weekend availability and potential overtime; prior maintenance experience or training is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–3 months of related maintenance experience or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- HVAC certification as required by local regulations
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift or carry heavy loads
- Strong customer service, communication, and listening skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have own basic maintenance tools
