Job Summary
Deliver fuel locally to residential and commercial addresses daily while maintaining the delivery truck through inspections and maintenance reporting. Account for funds and inventory using a handheld terminal and provide superior customer service throughout the route. This seasonal role includes a monthly bonus up to $1,000 plus competitive pay, with a requirement for a Class B CDL with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements. Suburban Propane, a nationwide propane distributor, values safety, teamwork, and community service across its locations.
Required Qualifications
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements
- valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce
- Ability to lift and pull equipment that weighs 50 to 75 lbs
- Exceptional customer service skills
- English Language Proficiency qualification requirements in 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2)
- ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public
- ability to understand highway traffic signs and signals in English
- ability to respond to official inquiries
- ability to make entries on reports and records
