Job Summary
Operate a semi-tractor and trailer to deliver non-hazardous agronomy and grain products to customer sites across complex routes, ensuring safe and efficient execution. Drive in accordance with DOT regulations, connect and disconnect trailers, and perform product transfer loading and unloading activities. Complete required delivery documentation, daily load/unload reports, and maintain accurate electronic logs. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, report accidents or equipment issues, and provide guidance to Associate Drivers on routes and safety practices. The season runs from late August to early November with spring availability, overtime opportunities, and drivers home each night.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
- Have a minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Must meet age requirement
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately
- Demonstrate the ability to operate independently in a high‐skill driving role, including managing complex routes or delivery requirements
- Demonstrated safe-driving performance and ability to make sound safety decisions in changing weather and road conditions
- Strong customer service skills and a history of positive customer feedback
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
- If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings, which may include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and trailers
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; travel and time away from home as required by the schedule
