Job Summary
Seasonal Tax Expert – Retail On-Site at TurboTax locations. Provide full-service tax return preparation, tax advice, and software/product support to TurboTax clients in-person and virtually. Build local community presence as a proactive ambassador, lead local events, nurture prospects, and convert them into long-term clients with the support of TurboTax marketing and tools. Leverage tax expertise to address diverse tax situations, optimize deductions, minimize liabilities, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Collaborate with a team, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and contribute to local marketing efforts and community engagement. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus; requires active credential (EA/CPA/Practicing Attorney) with PTIN and adherence to regulatory guidelines (Circular 230). Must reside in the United States and be able to obtain required state licenses or certifications. Flexible 25–34 hour weekly schedule with availability for peak seasons.
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted credential: EA, CPA, or Practicing Attorney with PTIN
- Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 50+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software
- Familiarity with Circular 230
- Must reside within the United States
- Must possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds
