Job Summary
Coordinate Angel Tree sponsorship by communicating with participants, managing volunteer orientations, and contacting corporate sponsors regarding angel requirements. Assemble sponsorship material packages for shipping and perform accurate computer data entry. Assist with sorting and moving donations into the warehouse, including loading, unloading, and securing goods. Handle drop-offs and pick-ups of donated items, and manage setup and breakdown of materials at events. This seasonal role involves working Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with shifts moving between the office and the Salvation Army Christmas warehouse, which may have noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to meet attendance requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to occasionally lift boxes of materials, donations
- Ability to load, unload, secure and protect goods
- Ability to set up and break down materials at events
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years general office and/or data entry experience in a customer service setting
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
