Job Summary
Unload and load fruit using forklifts, then execute harvest duties including sorting, destemming, and pressing. Perform additions like yeast and nutrient management, manage barrel operations such as cleaning and filling, and handle tank work for racking and blending. Obtain samples and assist with bottling if needed, while maintaining equipment and facility cleanliness. Communicate effectively with supervisors and staff throughout the process. This seasonal role requires at least two prior harvest experiences, the ability to work varying shifts including weekends, and physical stamina for continuous walking and lifting up to 50 pounds. Located in McMinnville, Oregon, the position offers the chance to contribute to ultra-premium Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sparkling Wines for brands like La Crema and Big Salt.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 2 previous harvest experiences
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment and have a sense of pride in your work
- Must be able to work varying shifts and overtime, including weekends, as needed, particularly during the peak of the harvest season
- Must be able to communicate in English effectively
- Must be able to work in the US and have legal transportation
- This position required continuous walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Ability to reach with hands and arms, fine manipulation, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- May occasionally include enclosed spaces and heights
Desired Qualifications
- Previous harvest and beverage production experience is desired but not required
- Some forklift experience is highly desired
- A great attitude and passion for beverages goes a long way
