Job Summary
Operate a 14-passenger Sprinter van safely and courteously along designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws, company policies, and Federal, State, and Local regulations including Department of Transportation requirements. Assist passengers with boarding, including those using wheelchairs or mobility aids, and ensure riders are tracked for each pickup and drop-off. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, functionality, and interior condition while conducting regular inspections, refueling, and attending scheduled maintenance appointments. Notify management of deviations, accidents, or mechanical issues and complete written reports concerning passengers and incidents. Hold a valid driver's license with a clean record, possess or obtain a CDL with B and P endorsements, and have at least three years of driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate effectively with guests
- Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a CDL with B + P endorsements
- Have at least 3 years of driving experience
- Detail oriented and thorough with strong attention to accuracy
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to operate a vehicle safety and by the law
- Knowledge of road safety and ability to maintain and enforce policies and protocols in emergency situations
- Must be able to lift 25lbs
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of work experience providing passenger transportation is preferred
