Job Summary
Retrieve items from shelves, set up cleaning carts, and maintain supplies in a clean, orderly fashion to enhance room cleaning efficiency. Clean windows, doors, walls, and fixtures, often using ladders for hard-to-reach areas. Wash restrooms, replace soiled towels and amenities, and wash hard floors by hand. Dust furniture, polish wall hangings, strip and remake beds, check mattresses for soil, and vacuum carpets including areas under furniture. Inspect door locks, room equipment, and report maintenance deficiencies to management. Secure keys and supplies, and maintain a friendly, cheerful demeanor. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Must have basic knowledge of general cleaning principles
- Must have basic knowledge of use of cleaning products
- Must have basic knowledge of operation of standard cleaning equipment
- Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. continually throughout a shift
- Must be able to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture throughout a shift
- Must be able to work with arms raised above head throughout a shift
- Must be able to maneuver fully loaded maid cart, weighing up to 50lbs., through hallways and into/out of closets during entire work day
- Must be able to identify minute debris and dirt in poorly lit areas
- Must be able to read written instructions and computer print-outs
