Job Summary
Perform any combination of cleaning duties to maintain hotel rooms in a clean and orderly manner, including making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, vacuuming, and unloading/loading housekeeping carts. Replace cleaning supplies, report problems and maintenance repairs, and communicate with supervisors regarding room status, work progress, and guest requests. Record lost and found items, keep carts clean and stocked, and report unsafe conditions immediately. Complete all other duties as assigned, including cross-training, while meeting brand-standard cleaning times and maintaining regular attendance. This seasonal position has a prospective end date assigned at hire.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass criminal background check
- Lift and carry average weight of 20lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 50lbs
- Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet
- Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down
- Pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50lbs, maximum weight 150lbs
- Repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting
- Must adhere to the Hotel's safety standards and procedures (i.e., hearing, eye, hand protection for equipment operation)
- Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality
- Treating others with respect and behaving in a manner that is positive, productive and encourages teamwork at all times
- Effectively manage time (e.g., time spent per room, planning, prioritizing)
- Ability to communicate with guests as well as management and team members
- Ability to work under time constraints, and in a fast-paced environment
- Work within recognized time frame appropriate to the task
- Follow all appropriate policies and procedures while constantly striving to improve all standards of operation
- Follow all safety procedures
- Meets or exceeds productivity standards
