Job Summary
Drive revenue and provide exceptional guest service by building relationships, sharing product knowledge, and maintaining a clean store environment. Complete opening and closing procedures, process register transactions accurately, and handle cash and change without error. Assist with merchandising, window displays, and inventory preparation while adhering to loss prevention practices and reporting potential hazards. Maintain a safe work environment and represent the brand through appropriate dress and grooming standards. Perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, lifting 30 pounds, and occasional ladder use. Reports to work as scheduled using the time and attendance system.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Physical ability to perform tasks, which could require prolonged standing, sitting, reaching, kneeling and / or squatting frequently
- May be required to occasionally climb ladders, climb and descend stairs frequently, depending on location
- Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds regularly without assistance
- Ability to perform register transactions quickly and efficiently
- Ability to process transactions accurately, as well as handle cash and provide change without error
- Ability to locate merchandise effectively and maintain organization
- Ability to complete opening/closing procedures and sales associate tasks as directed by management with a guest focus
- Ability to adhere to loss prevention practices and be aware of and report potential incidents
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment and report any potential hazards to leadership
- Ability to participate and assist in the preparation for the stores' inventory
- Ability to report to work as scheduled
- Ability to record time worked accurately by using Altar'd State's time and attendance system
- Ability to remain flexible to the needs of the business
- Ability to adhere to appropriate standards of dress and grooming
