Job Summary
Operate industrial trucks, including stock pickers and reach trucks, to pick, pull, put away, stack, and count merchandise in narrow aisles up to 40 feet high. Input data accurately using PCs, handheld computers, or radio frequency equipment while navigating the facility. Safely work with a harness, report equipment failures or accidents to the committee, and collaborate with team members to maintain a positive environment. Prioritize customer needs by handling merchandise with care and packing packages neatly. Finish shifts by tidying workstations, returning equipment, and replenishing supplies. This role supports behind-the-scenes operations in furniture, bedding, and fulfillment warehouses, requiring flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve goals and maintain a positive work environment
- Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and People Leaders
- Must be able to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Comfortable with heights while on power equipment raising self, equipment, and merchandise up to 40ft in the air
- Lifting and moving items weighing up to 75lbs
- Prolonged periods (up to 12 hours) of standing/walking around the facility or department (excluding breaks)
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Ability to use, hear and see safety/emergency alarms and Power Industrial Truck (PIT) warning devices to ensure safety while on the warehouse floor
- Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Power Equipment experience preferred but not required
