Job Summary
Perform all park property maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, emptying garbage, cleaning restrooms, and preparing athletic fields and picnic shelters for events. Operate machinery, plant and water flower beds, and maintain all equipment while reporting vandalism, emergencies, or unusual conditions to the Park Manager immediately. Adhere to safety procedures and follow written or oral instructions. Work a flexible schedule covering weekends, evenings, and special events while maintaining reliability and professional interaction with the public and district personnel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid Illinois State Driver's License
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and special events
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public
- Work record that shows reliability, integrity, initiative, and resourcefulness
