Job Summary
Operate, changeover, clean, and troubleshoot Palletizer equipment including wrappers, pallet forming units, and forklifts per company standards. Lift pallets and store or remove them from 4 and 5 tier racking systems while recording preventative maintenance, quality inspection data, and production metrics. Adhere to safe work practices and good manufacturing protocols, communicating effectively when issues arise. Safely operate a forklift to move materials to the warehouse or trucks, completing hourly quality checks and inspecting raw materials before loading. Perform mathematical calculations, attend shift meetings, and crosstrain to support operations during downtimes. Work day or night shifts on a rotational 2-2-3 schedule at the Zephyrhills, FL facility, earning $21/hour with a 6%-8% shift differential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to alternately sit, stand, push, pull and walk all day, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift and move high volume units per day, each weighing 50 lbs. + with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather and changes in temperature
- A valid driver's license
- Candidates must possess strong English language skills to effectively communicate with customers and provide exceptional service
- Proficiency in English is essential for understanding customer needs, resolving inquiries, and collaborating with team members
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in clean manufacturing preferred
- Exposure to high-speed production or basic maintenance is preferred
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
- Effective communication skills both face to face and over the radio
- Forklift experience is highly preferred
- Ability to work independently or with a team and communicate effectively
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
