Job Summary
Monitor assigned hotel floors from 9:45 PM to 5:00 AM, responding to emergency situations, reporting suspicious activity, and ensuring student safety during nighttime hours. Treat customers, vendors, and fellow employees with honesty, respect, and professionalism while maintaining a positive relationship with students. Follow proper procedures for check-ins, introductions to Program Leaders, and escalation protocols. Work closely with the Night Chaperone Coordinator and Onsite Coordinator to deliver a high-quality experience. Available October through November and February through June. Commute required to Dulles, VA.
Required Qualifications
- Availability in October and November, and in the spring from February-June, during peak season.
- Must be willing to commute to on-site locations in Dulles, VA Area.
- Team player who works well with students, teachers, vendors and WorldStrides staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent technical skills with knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word and Excel), email, and working from a smartphone.
- Must have the use of sensory skills as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, and hear – to be able to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and clients.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including walking up and down numerous flights of stairs with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Successful completion of applicable background screening.
- Worldwide legal work authorization (not eligible for sponsorship)
