Job Summary
Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders and other heavy equipment to maintain Ontario highways year-round. Responsibilities include pothole repair, guardrail and bridge/signage cleaning, hazard remediation, and performing labourer duties as needed. Must be physically capable of demanding tasks and hold a valid AZ or DZ license with air endorsement; a 3-year commercial driver’s abstract is required. Work is seasonal/shift-based (5 on/2 off or 6 on/1 off) with 8–12 hour daily shifts; on-call and night shifts may be required. Local site-based work with potential travel/accommodation incentives; compensation ranges from $25.50 to $33.50 per hour, based on trade certification/apprenticeship level and location. Required Qualifications
- Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement
- Provide a copy of a 3-year commercial driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting 50 lbs., bending, kneeling, etc.)
