Job Summary
Pick up and deliver fertilizer equipment, load fertilizer with proper training, and manage tank deliveries. Handle grain duties including cleaning and maintenance in elevators, dumping and loading grain trucks, and unloading incoming grain by weighing, testing, and transferring it to bins. Maintain equipment and facilities regularly to manufacturer specifications, conduct scheduled maintenance, and document all repairs. Perform periodic inspections of stored grain to ensure quality and make recommendations to improve handling operations. Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations while proactively assessing activities for dangerous circumstances. Maintain a positive visual image of all locations by keeping grounds and vehicles clean and orderly.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to gain operational knowledge of all machinery in elevator, operate the elevator safely, make minor repairs, and conduct scheduled maintenance on all equipment
- Able to obtain good working knowledge of fertilizer, seed and grains
- Ability to obtain and maintain 7B Fumigation License
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- A high school degree or GED
