Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning and feeding routines for nursery animals aged 0–8 weeks, maintaining assigned areas in compliance with SDHS kitten nursery policy and underage kitten protocols. Monitor animal health, administering subcutaneous fluids and oral medications as needed, and assist with restraining animals for blood draws and examinations. Handle and nurture animals appropriately according to their specific age and needs. Full-time positions work 40 hours weekly, while PRN roles work approximately 4 hours. Starting pay ranges from $20.00 to $22.25 per hour. Both roles are based at the San Diego Campus and last until November 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool graduate or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience working with animals in a kennel, shelter, veterinary hospital, or volunteer environment
- Neonatal kitten experience
