Job Summary
Mosquito Technician role focusing on outdoor mosquito surveillance and control services. Responsibilities include inspecting control zones for breeding habitat and larvae, applying appropriate control techniques (source reduction, biological control, and larvicides/adulticides at labeled application rates), placing and retrieving monitoring devices, recording findings in the database, and communicating with residents. Must be familiar with chemical labels and SDS, follow safety procedures and PPE requirements, operate spray equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds. Works outdoors and may face hazardous conditions; strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills required; open to learning about pest control; valid driver’s license expected; emphasis on accuracy in data logging and adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence
- Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
- Customer-facing experience preferred.
