Job Summary
Interact with fans at ballpark gates, special events, and community appearances while distributing promotional items to increase team awareness. Participate in various promotions throughout games and on the field, improvising interactions with adults, children, and staff members. Work in a fast-paced environment wearing a costume in all weather conditions, including cold, wind, rain, and heat. Auditions are required, and successful candidates must submit to a background screen.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to submit to a background screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background screen
- Auditions for this position will be required
- Ability to improvise and interact with fans (adults and children) as well as other staff members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; work with a sense of urgency
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including; cold, wind, rain and heat
- Must be comfortable working in a costume in front of large crowds
