Job Summary
Seasonal Maintenance Technician for Sacred Heart Catholic Church to support upkeep of parish facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include routine maintenance and repairs on parish buildings and equipment, groundskeeping (mowing, trimming, landscaping, seasonal clean-up), setting up and breaking down spaces for parish events and liturgies, monitoring facilities for safety hazards, custodial duties (cleaning, trash removal, upkeep of common areas), and supporting seasonal projects such as snow removal and leaf collection. Must follow safety protocols and parish guidelines; requires physical tasks outdoors and flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Prior maintenance, custodial, or groundskeeping experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repair tools, and equipment operation
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take direction as needed
- Flexible availability, including occasional evenings or weekends if required
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of the Catholic Church
