Job Summary
Set up, operate, and maintain machinery in accordance with company procedures while performing routine maintenance to prevent downtime. Monitor equipment during operation to identify malfunctions or product defects, then troubleshoot issues and adjust machinery to maintain quality and efficiency. Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with standards and maintain accurate logs of machine operation and maintenance tasks. Follow all safety protocols, collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals, and read technical documents and manuals. Requires a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and ability to work various shifts including overtime. Seasonal role starting April 1 for up to six months with competitive pay and NY State benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and communication.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime as needed.
- Strong commitment to safety.
Desired Qualifications
- Vocational or technical training related to machine operation.
- Experience with machinery used in plastic pipe manufacturing (or similar).
- Safety certifications or relevant training.
