Job Summary
Prepare menu items accurately and promptly through the point of sale system while maintaining food quality and consistency. Cook dishes in cooperation with kitchen staff to ensure timely service, remake items as instructed, and adhere to all Food Handlers Safety guidelines including temperature control and cross-contamination prevention. Maintain order and cleanliness by washing dishes, cleaning work areas, stocking dry goods using FIFO, and accurately maintaining waste logs. Follow opening, mid, and closing procedures while working safely in a high-volume theater environment. This seasonal role supports Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas and Movie House & Eatery concepts across multiple states.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of professional kitchen experience
- Culinary training
- Experience with dishwashing
- Experience with prep/cook
- Experience with expediting
- Working knowledge of U.S. measurements, weight and volume
- Ability to follow instructions on safe use of all chemical/cleaning materials
- Ability to work effectively with supervisors and co-workers
- Ability to work effectively with supervisors and co-workers in a high-volume setting
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations and issues in a positive manner
- Ability to stand on feet for an extended period of time
- Ability to walk, lift, twist, bend, reach, and handle food products on a frequent basis
- Good communication skills with support personnel and management
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Time management
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds
- Must be able to light lift 25lbs to 50lbs occasionally with assistance
- Must be able to work in a theater environment with typical levels of noise, dust and activity
- Must be able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
