Job Summary
Seasonal Landscape Worker - Level II for the City of O'Fallon, MO. Responsibilities include mowing municipal properties on a set weekly schedule, assisting with landscaping tasks (mulching, planting, mower maintenance, litter cleanup), and operating motorized equipment (pickup trucks, zero-turn mowers, string trimmers, blowers). The role supports the Parks Department and requires reliability, self-motivation, respect for others and property, and vehicle/equipment care. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00/7:30 am to 3:30 pm, with hours available for about nine months of the year. Candidate should have mowing experience, be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, tolerate various weather conditions, and possess a valid Missouri driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds 100 feet
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to withstand weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
- Possess a valid Missouri driver’s license
- Ability to work Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
- Previous mowing experience
- Comfort operating motorized equipment (pickup trucks, zero turn mowers, string trimmers, blowers)
- Ability to coordinate and supervise a small crew
