Job Summary
Conduct guest-facing service at the Fairmont Waterfront, offering professional greetings and engaging assistance with food and beverage menu items. Execute server tasks in the outlet, understand shift end reports, and utilize the POS system to process transactions. Demonstrate knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, and preparation methods while strictly adhering to outlet policies, procedures, and safety sanitation standards. Maintain a calm, courteous demeanor under pressure to focus on guest needs. Requires a BC Serving It Right Certificate and full-time status; full rate of pay is $30.22 per hour following 90 days of service.
Required Qualifications
- BC Serving It Right Certificate
- Canadian work authorization
- Previous service experience
- Previous Point of Sale System experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all time
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
