Job Summary
Conduct guest services across food service, retail, and ride operations at the Akron Zoo. Operate cash registers, maintain storefronts and dining areas, and prepare food safely while upholding health and cleanliness standards. Stock inventory, clean retail spaces, and assist guests with product selection and ticket sales. Operate ride attractions including the Conservation Carousel and trackless trains, and feed animals at the Boma. Scan tickets, redeem membership certificates, and manage deliveries. Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, including cold temperatures, with a schedule ending December 31.
Required Qualifications
- Comfortable walking and working outdoors in all weather conditions, including cold temperatures during the winter months
- Comfortable working with and directly interacting with guests during each shift
- Comfortable working with and directly interacting with mobility and rental guests
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Valid driver's license
