Job Summary
Job Summary: This seasonal Ground Crew position in Sunnyside, WA is responsible for weighing and cutting product to meet production order specifications, activating machines and preparing material for processing, labeling and packaging, recording weight, temperature and moisture, receiving imports for processing, keeping track of product by lot and weight, documenting daily processes, and ensuring adherence to Lean Manufacturing principles, safety and quality policies. The role requires following SOPs and company policies, working both independently and as part of a team, and may involve Spanish-language capabilities and food-handler knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent, preferred but not required
- Minimum of six months related experience with demonstrated aptitude to learn on-the-job
- Familiarity with plant equipment operation and SOPs
- Possess a strong work ethic to positively contribute to the company’s mission, vision, values and environmental policy and quality policy
- Must have a positive attitude, support co-workers to obtain desired objectives, and assist others in their contributions
- Preferably able to speak Spanish
- Food handler’s cards preferred but not required
